If you are looking for a quick and easy adventure this one should be on your list. I still find it fascinating that in the middle of the city there are adventures like this to take in and explore. We went mid-morning before the heat of the day and the trail was very comfortable and provided a lot of shade. From beginning to end it took us about 10-15 minutes. This includes stops along the way to see fish in the stream and water breaks (our daughter insisted on taking them!)
Things to know before you go:
1. This is a short adventure and great for kids of all ages.
2. There are some stairs and no strollers are needed as the walk isn't too long to the end to get to the falls.
3. No special gear needed.
4. We did not see any bathroom facilities (port-a-potty), so go before you go.
